Dark Light (Short Film)
48min | English
a Digital Forces Production
Director: Grant Humphreys

Dark Light is a short film conceived, financed and produced entirely in-house by Digital Forces as a creative exercise designed to push beyond the conventions of television drama and explore more cinematic, internationally focused storytelling. Developed as a showcase of our capabilities in story development, production and visual filmmaking, the project allowed us to experiment with tone, atmosphere and genre while demonstrating what could be achieved with a fully independent production model. Rather than being created for commercial distribution, Dark Light was developed as a proof of concept and industry showcase, ultimately becoming an important tool in securing funding and support for our feature film Taking Earth. The project reflects Digital Forces’ philosophy of using filmmaking not only to create finished productions, but also to develop ideas, demonstrate capability and open doors to larger international opportunities.
